Our discipleship pathways for women and youth

Four primary ways we engage in discipleship:

Leadership Development

Our leadership programs focus on raising disciples and Christ-centered leaders, ready to cause kingdom impact in their families and communities. Through intentional trainings, discipleship groups, and spiritual mentorship, we will partner with the local church to create a movement of disciples committed to not only building the church of Christ but expanding kingdom influence in different spheres of leadership.

Economic Empowerment

Economic empowerment is not just about creating opportunities for financial stability. It is a key instrument in tackling the root causes of poverty and restoring hope among the refugee community. By empowering refugees economically, we are not only reinforcing that the Lord is their provider, but restoring their dignity, giving them the will to live, and moving them from a place of mere surviving to thriving. We are also preparing them to be responsible and fully independent individuals and families, whether they return to South Sudan some day or choose to settle in their host country. We aim to provide opportunities for economic empowerment through trainings in financial literacy & management, saving groups, and small business grants.

Peace Building

Our hopes for fully transformed and thriving communities cannot be realized without true peace. But true peace begins with a restored relationship with God. Our peace-building efforts will begin with an invitation to a relationship with Jesus, the Prince of Peace, and then opportunities to be equipped with practical tools and skills that lead to peaceful co-existence, complete reconciliation, restored relationships, and a concerted effort for joint nation-building.

Psychosocial support

Yenet's focus includes providing psychosocial support that targets the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of individuals who have experienced traumatic events, displacement, and the difficulties of adjusting to a new environment. Yenet intends to partner with organizations specialized in this field to deliver a variety of training, encompassing counseling and activities aimed at assisting refugees in managing their experiences, building resilience, and fostering a sense of community.
